Location Details

Winding up through the banana plantations after a short drive along the coast road from Paphos brings you to Peyia where Villa Emelita is located on the hillside overlooking Coral Bay. Peyia is a very typical Cypriot village which has been developed over time to be a vibrant ‘mini-town’ offering great amenities. With many restaurants, tavernas, cafes, bars, shops, bakeries, butcheries, supermarkets, pharmacy, gym and other facilities all within 2-3km of each other, there really is no need to leave the village if you don’t want to. A beautiful ancient church forms the heart of the village while the narrow streets and alleyways are full of old and interesting houses adorned with colourful flowers and citrus trees. The village centre is still largely unspoilt with lively tavernas and friendly locals. You can also buy all your provisions including fresh meat and bread in the village stores; the early morning aroma of freshly baked bread, sweet and savoury local pastries and cakes coming from the Peyia bakery is almost too much to resist! For the more energetic types there is the local and newly opened ‘Tower Fitness Centre’.

Coral Bay with it’s beaches, shops and slightly more vibrant nightlife is just 2km away.

Things to do in the area include Paphos Bird Park (now Paphos Zoo), reptile park, horse riding, Akamas Peninsular & Lara Beach Nature Reserve (famous for turtles), hiking/walking, buggy safaris, 4 x 4 safaris, sea caves area, sailing and many more. Amusement and water parks in Paphos are also easily accessible from Peyia, as are numerous archaeological ruins such as the Tombs of the Kings and Paphos mosaics.

If you want to get out and explore some fantastic scenery, take a trip to the Akamas Peninsula, Polis, Latchi or even Troodos mountains. The Akamas is an untouched part of Cyprus with unspoilt coastline and traditional fish taverns in stunning seaside locations. Troodos is of course the main mountain range in Cyprus, not many people know that in the can ski!

Paphos combines ancient history with a cosmopolitan, modern tourist resort. The area by the coast is known as Kato Paphos and boasts a pretty little harbour and plenty of open air cafes and bars. Further inland is the old town of Paphos, known by the locals as Ktima. With its narrow streets, hustle and bustle, covered market and typically Cypriot atmosphere, it is well worth a visit. As a consequence, Paphos is on UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage list.

Cyprus is famous as the birth place of the goddess Aphrodite, Venus in Roman mythology. She is known as the Ancient Greek goddess of love and beauty. Legend says that she emerged from the sea at Aphrodite’s Rock in a surge of sea foam.

This villa is absolutely fantastic its got everything you need and more. We have had the most amazing time and will definitely be booking again. The walk into Peyia is a bit longer than 10 minutes but is well worth it people are so friendly.
Thanks Clickstay as the service you provided was excellent.

Family from Bingley, United Kingdom Sep 2014

The villa is as shown in the pictures. It is stunning. In fact you have everything you need. The shops are a little further away than I thought but only became an issue when my 2 year old grandson wanted to come. If I booked again would definitely hire a car. We arrived at about 10.30pm so it was nice to have some basics provided.

Review submitted by Andrew from Tonyrefail, Wales (Submitted: 08/10/2021) ''The villa was excellent offering more than adequate facilities for a large family or group. 1st class accommodation with exceptional finishes to all rooms. I had stayed in Peyia a number of times so I knew what I was getting, there are many facilities locally including bars and shops alike. Coral bay is a must for great beaches and the clearest of water. Plenty of pubs and restaurants in coral bay and plenty in Paphos harbour. A little way up the coast is a restaurant called oniro’s which has an excelllent sunset view and a must do on any vacation. Your service is always clear and precise information to follow which was great. A lovely gesture of supplying some much needed items I.e. bread, milk water etc were left for us on arrival along with a note giving names and contact details of the local manager of the property. No other comment other than I will definitely be returning. I’d like to thank you for making the booking and access etc to the villa so easy to do. Pleasure doing business with you and look forward to using you in the future. ''

Review submitted by Tracey from Perthshire (Submitted: 16/10/2020) ''We had a terrific time away, Cyprus was as beautiful as ever. It’s been a tough time for everyone there too, hopefully next year will be better for us all. We had no problems at all, everything was great. The villa was spacious and very well equipped, we especially liked the downstairs covered area by the pool. It was a great size for our party of 8. Nice quiet location. We have been to Peyia many times and expect to need a car but would recommend that. We recommend Oniros in Sea Caves, Wood n‘ Good meat the villa and The Grande up in Peyia village. Good communication and clear instructions throughout from yourselves. We didn’t have any problems but would have known how to get in touch with the local managers if we had. I’d definitely recommend the villa for large parties/ 2 families. It was perfect for us. Many thanks, Tracey ..''

Review submitted by Jackie from Merthyr Tydfil (Submitted: 21/07/2019) ''Once again we would like to thank you for everything. The villa was absolutely stunning, extremely well equipped and exceptionally clean. The pool was gorgeous and Colin kept it clean at all times. We hired a car, mainly for trips to the supermarket, I would suggest that a car is essential as it is quite a trek to nearest shops. Coral Bay Taxi service was excellent and always accommodated us. We really cannot fault anything and wouldn’t hesitate to book through yourselves if we visit Cyprus again. Your communication has been outstanding from our first contact. Many Thanks for all your help Kind Regards. Jackie and the rest of the our party..''

We would recommend Savvas taverna and Philidis taverna. Very satisfied with your service. Emails answered almost straight away and taxi you booked for us was excellent. Colin was always on hand. Easy to reach and sorted out a few minor problems we had straight away. Very friendly..''

Booking was nice and easy with good communication from everyone involved, the villa and pool was nice and clean on arrival nice spacious rooms throughout. Review submitted by Gary from Treocthy, Wales - (Submitted: 11/11/2014) ''Hi Steven, thanks for your e-mail. We had a wonderful time in the villa and everything was first class. The service you have provided was exemplary and the people that came to the villa were so helpful and a pleasure to have met. Whenever anyone buys something online, you always worry that it might not be as good as you hope. However, not only was the villa and and facts about the villa everything that you said it would be, it actually exceeded our expectations. Little touches like having some provisions there as we arrived late were really gratefully received and it set our visit up to so that we cannot wait to look again at when we can visit Cyprus (and specifically the Pathos area) again. I have answered your questions below, if you need anything further, please let me know. We are going to recommended you on a Facebook page relating to Wedding's in Cyprus (group name is Cyprus Brides To Be Chatroom) as the purpose of our visit was to get married and this page was a source of some really good information. I hope you dont mind that! The villa itself was amazing, exactly as the pictures showed it to be and it was very well laid out. Everything was there to make our stay as comfortable as it could be. We loved the location. Possible that you would enjoy the stay more in this particular villa if you had access to a hire car (which we did) but everything was within 10 mins distance by car. There was one restaurant in coral bay avenue (La trattoria?) that was very good. Absolutely satisfied with all service, we have recommended you to our friends and colleagues. One of the best things about this trip is the amount of contact LetsRentOnline gave us. It was brilliant! I hope that is all that you need, you will probably hear from us very soon booking again! Kind Regards, Gary Miles''

Review submitted by Marie from Middlesborough - (Submitted: 01/09/2013) Villa Emeita was beautiful. It was very spacious and spotlessly clean. It is furnished to a very high standard and contained every appliance you could wish for. The bed linens and towels were good quality, there was lots of extra towels provded. The villa is situated in a very quiet location. If you are in a car it would only take a minute or two to get to Peyia village centre or five minutes to get to Coral bay. We decided not to hire a car as we dont mind walking. It took ten minutes to walk to the nearest supermarket and bar or you could walk to the top end of Peyia village in fourteen minutes, although this is quite a steep walk. (We were aware of the dstance before we booked). Some road are quite steep and not very well lit in parts. The brewery is the closest bar to the villa. The food was well presented and reasonably priced. I would reccomend the Grande restaurant in Peyia, the food is very good and reasonably priced. I would lso reccomend Coral King in Coral Bay. Steven was a great help throughout our booking, giving advice, helping with transport and arranging an extra bed for us. I would definately reccomend The local managers were very helpful. We had a problem with one of the toilets which Colin had repaired within an hour. We had a lovely holiday staying at Villa Emelita. We are hoping to book another visit next summer.

Review submitted by Sarah from Chearsley (Submitted: 26/06/2013) "The villa was fantastic, everything you needed. The location was very good, we know the village of peyia well as we have been there for the last 7 years. Definatley recommend the Grande and Savvas Grill both in Peyia. Very good service from you as agents and The couple that look after the villa were very good also.

Review submitted by Aaldert from Netherlands (Submitted: 10/11/2012) "The villa was Very good and very clean. The whole house was similar to the photo’s we had seen on the intenet (we got what we had seen). The villa was very well equiped. The location Very nice. We recommend the historical sites (excavations) and snorkling near Agios Georgias (this was a tip from the local managers). The information was very clear. Our answers were accurate answered in short time. The information about the route from airport (we rented there a car) to villa Emelita was very clear (no problems to find it). There was an informative, friendly note on arrival. There was milk, coffee, cheese, bread etc, etc Later on we met them when they came to clean the pool. We had a great holiday. The villa was perfect for our group (two parents, three adult daughters and the partners of two of them). With greetings, Aaldert en Diny Slot
