Overview
Having fallen in love with Northern Cyprus over 30 years ago we bought the house in 2008.
Situated in the village of Catalkoy which is just 10 minutes from Kyrenia, a beautiful old harbor flanked by a castle where you can eat at one of the many restaurants offering a range of fish, seafood and traditional Turkish dishes.
There are 3 supermarkets within 10 minutes walk of the house.
When it comes to eating out, a ten minute stroll will take you to several bars and restaurants. from a traditional Turkish restaurant offering fresh fish, a Turkish Meze restaurant (Meze is a selection of hot and cold starters), an Italian and one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to, plus 2 bars that have live music once a week.
There are several beaches within walking distance (approx. 20 to 30 minutes walk) but to enjoy your stay we would recommend a car to fully appreciate the the island and to visit the sights.
We are happy to arrange car hire for you and you will be met at the airport and taken to the Villa, hire rates are between £20 and £30 per day and save the cost of a taxi to and from the airport. (appox £30 each way)
All the cars are right hand drive so it's just like driving at home and you will be free to explore the Turtle Breeding Beaches to the east of Catalkoy and the ruins of Salamis near the old walled city of Nicosia, Belapais Abbey, the Tree of Idleness and the many beautiful secluded sandy bays and traditional restaurants along the coast.
Prices quoted are based on 5 or 6 sharing, for 1 or 2 people please deduct £50 per week from the published prices.

We found the villa very nice and spacious.
The location was very quiet and the pool was little used by the other residents in the close.
The nearby restaurants were all generally excellent we particularly enjoyed the Sheraz and Bollywoods.
Supermarkets were within walking distance for bread and milk.
As we stayed for 4 weeks it would have been helpful to have a selec tion of sealable plastic containers (TupperWare) to combat the ants as it is not always practical to fit everything in the fridge.
The alignment of the carport in the drive took a bit of getting used to and I wouldn’t have wanted to try with anything larger than a Ford Focus!
With aircon in the bedrooms a large portable fan would also have been useful as even sat outside in the early evenings could be quite warm and humid.
Overall we had a fantastic time and would certainly have no hesitation in recommending the Villa and location to others.

I just wanted to say thank you very much much for letting us remt your house in Cyprus we had a brilliant, time the place was wonderful, clean and spacious and very relaxing we used the pool every day and had it to ourselves. Thank you for the note of beaches and restaurants to visit, we struggled to find Lara Beach only because the sign had been covered by bushes but we found it towards the end of our holiday and we made plenty of use of turtle beach which was very quiet. We did have to purchase an umbrella though as there were no sun loungers on turtle beach and we got a bit burnt. I hope you dont mind but we have left that at the house as I could not fit it in my case to bring home and I am sure you will make use of it or your other guests as it seemed a shame to bin it. The hire car came in handy and the car rental company were very helpful and friendly when we were picked up from the airport, again thank you for sorting that out for us. Thanks again we had a wonderful time and would have no doubts about returning again. Regards Jemma & James
