Overview
Sunset Resort is a 5 star frontline development, perfectly orientated in a south westerly direction on the south beach in the town of Pomorie. It is only 15 minutes away from Bourgas airport and 20 minutes from the second biggest city on the black sea coast-Bourgas.
The resort is situated on a beautiful natural sandy beach, more than 400 metres long and at a distance far enough from the main road to provide a tranquil atmosphere for its guests.
The south beach in Pomorie is situated on a quiet gulf of the black sea coast and is one of the safest beaches in Bulgaria, having very slight surf, almost no tide and Blue Flag clean water.
The resort comprises of 5 main buildings, all of which have bars, cafes and restaurants and other facilities. There are a great number of swimming pools, poolside bars, and pool animation articles with a total area of 3500 sq.metres, internal swimming pool, an outdoor aqua facility which includes a lazy pool and slides. There is also abundant landscaping and free direct access to the beach.
Other facilities include- 7 restaurants serving European, Mediterranean, Italian, Asian, French and Bulgarian cuisine. There are also cafes, pastry shops, ice cream parlours, cocktail bars, lobby bars, cigar bar, vitamin bar and a variety show restaurant.
There is car hire, kindergarten/crèche, pool, billiards, tennis, fitness centre including aerobic and free weights equipment, a wellness centre including spa, massage, sauna and steam room, mud baths, plunge pools, caldarium, hydro pools and resting area, doctor and first aid, hair and nail salons, shops and post office, laundry and dry cleaning and an internet centre.
All inclusive upgrades available. Half day 50 Lev. Full day 78 Lev and a single all inclusive meal costs 30 Lev. Prices correct as from June 2007. All inclusive option applies to selective restaurants.
Out and about
Although everything you need is within Sunset Resort, It is well worth having a look around some of the other towns. Old Pomorie is only 2km away, and has a relaxed and traditional feel. In the town there are many bars and restaurants and also market stalls which add to the ambience. During the summer months, you can get to Old Pomorie on a vehicle pulling carriages for a fee of 1 lev.
Just south of the town near the Europa campground there is a mound-topped Thracian tomb worth a visit.
Bourgas- the second largest city on the coast is about 20 minutes away and is great for shopping.
Sunny Beach- for those wanting a more adventurous time. Sunny Beach is about 20 minutes away and is full of bars, cafes, restaurants and nightclubs.
There is an Aquapark on the way to Sunny Beach.
Nessebar is a must, as it is a beautiful Unesco world heritage site and contains numerous excellent restaurants and great for shopping. There are loads of jewellery shops.

Our family loves this place, location, apartment and the people that serve at Sun Set Resort. The Animation Team was great too at the hotel as they really got our kids involved. They were a blast. We had a great vacation and hope to come back again!

I really loved the apt so really big, beautiful view of pools and beach. The nights entertainment was very poor. One night there was a russian night sad thing was no one turned up but the music was brillant. I would go back again, wish they thought of the adutls at night.

The complex has been amazing and always kept clean and tidy throughout our stay. The children have really enjoyed the pools and beach area. Having the dvds in the room helped juggling the needs of a 5 year old with the social demands of a 15 year old allowing both to enjoy their evenings. We can not fault the animation team so friendly and engaging. Old Pomorie and the aqua park well worth a visit. The water park is not massive but covered everyones needs. The Italian restaurant on site was our favorite. The waitor was very helpfull with our fussy little eater! Thank you for a lovely stay.

We felt right at home. Very pleased with the inflatables for the pool, boat, wii and dvds. View from the window is excellent. In early June it was chilly so we used the indoor spa pool. We loved Old Pomorie and the children were delighted with the new aquapark on the water which was opened this year right in front of our hotel. Vacation in Bulgaria seventh year but had never been to Pomorie and for that we are sorry. Hope to see you next year. Thank you very much to you and your family for everything.

On our second trip to Bulgaria and we had a fab time despite experiencing a trip to the hospital, an earthquake and 3 nights of storms which was amazing to watch. Nessebar and waterpark were wonderful and lovely hot weather. Look out for the cake shop in Pomorie. Also recommend St George hotel for a meal. Well worth it. Boat in apartment is excellent fun out in sea, as is the bowling alley. Definitely will be coming back again.

Hi Kevin, Wow! We had a fabulous time, thank you! The apartment was GREAT and the resort was perfect for us. We got to meet a few other families who had been several times before and they gave us some great tips of where to eat etc. I didn’t receive your email until I returned, so the Wii was a very welcome surprise! Kept my kids quiet anyway! Your wine remained intact, but thank you for the offer and it seems that previous guests had also behaved themselves as there was only one bottle missing. The reception staff were also very helpful with information for taxi’s and buses and couldn’t do enough to help us. All in all, the apartment was more than we could have imagined. It was spacious and comfortable and it really helped to be able to relax in the evenings with a DVD and some nibbles. I am sure we will be contacting you in the future to book another holiday. Hi Kevin I just wanted to email and say we had a fantastic holiday in Bulgaria. This was our third time at Sunset Resort and my parents joined us having booked an apartment in Sigma. Your apartment has been by far the best apartment we have had so far, like home from home. There was plenty of seating both outside and inside and the kids loved the wii and wide selec tion of DVDS. The wine was very nice - we did replace what we drank though !!! Even milk in the fridge when we arrived. So a very big thankyou.
