Located on the Beautiful laid back Island of Caye Caulker, we offer a fully equipped 2 bedroom cottage with A/C, Full kitchen, and 4 Complimentary Bicycles

Overview

The Lily Pad is located on the South Island just 5 minutes from the main town area and 10 minutes from the popular "Split & Lazy Lizard" area. It is only a short walk from the village, yet far enough away to enjoy real peace and quiet. We are not directly on the ocean front, but the Island is only 1KM wide so it is never too far to get to the beach or ocean. The neighborhood is very safe and the Cottage was completed in March 2019 so it is a fairly new maintained cottage with lots of amenities. 1x (5 Gallon) jug of water is supplied for a 2-4 night stay OR 2x (5 Gallon) Jugs of water are included with a 5 night stay (or longer), Extra jugs are $3.50USD. A/C in both bedrooms, ceiling fans throughout the House. A full-size fridge, gas stove/oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker are also at your disposal. We offer a complimentary pick-up service from the Ferry terminal or Airstrip to get you and your luggage to our cottage and 4 complimentary Bicycles are provided for our guests as well. There are 2 convenience stores within a 3 block range of the Lily Pad and they sell everything from Veggies, meats, cigs, hardware and alcohol sales as well. There are currently 56 Golf cart taxi services on the Island or you can choose to rent your own Golf Cart while you are here. We hope you will enjoy your stay with us!

Booking price includes the Mandatory 9% Government hotel tax

The Lily Pad was sparkling clean and the hosts (and Francis) were super responsive. The place was nicely decorated and very comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay in Caye Caulker. We loved the bikes and used them every day. Thanks for a great stay.

5-star all the way through: very clear communication and outstanding service! Mike & Liliana will make you feel at home in their cottage. It is very well equipped -everything you need is there! It feels super nice. Francis is on-site, assisting in case you need anything. He is super knowledgable. Like I said, outstanding service: the pick-up at the airstrip (I flew in) or at the pier is oh-so-much convenient, the personal welcome, the WiFi works very well too, the complimentary bikes are super convenient! A 5 min ride will get you to the main streets and you can explore the island and chill / bike around to find out the best sunset spot. I recommend the Lily Pad, 100%. The little plus: since you’re not in the core touristic area, you can better experience local life in this neighbourhood, I enjoyed it. Thank you Mike & Liliana and Francis.

The pictures dont do the place justice. It is a very cute cottage on a private lot with a gate. Bikes are included (you will definitely use them) and there is plenty of space to stretch out. There were 3 of us and it was so nice having seperate rooms but also having ample communal space to eat and hang out. Francis picked us up right off the boat and brought us to the unit and gave us the tour. The next day when a bike tire was flat I asked Liliana if they had a bike pump somewhere. She responded within minutes and said francis would come and help. He was there in under 5 minutes and pumped all the bike tires and we were on our way. I wish we had booked this place for our entire stay honestly. The price is right and it's absolutely adorable. Beautiful wood floors, very clean and painted in beautiful colors. My only caution would be the cottage lot can get a bit marshy and the sand flies love to bite ya after it rains. That's true everywhere but bring some reef safe bug spray and you'll be fine. I will absolutely stay here again!

The Lily pad is away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. The unit was spacious and clean. Free water and free usages or bikes. We booked last minute as we had missed the ferry to Mexico that morning due to it being full and Mike and Lilyana were excellent with responding and helping us out with a place. I would stay here again for sure

Mike & Liliana's place is the perfect place to stay for a family or group of four. They go above and beyond to make your stay smooth and hassle free. From free pick up at the ferry port to complimentary bikes, they really have thought of everything. The kitchen is well equipped, we cooked there most nights. The space is comfortable and has everything you need. Nice quiet location, a short bike ride to everywhere on the island. 100% recommend!

Really nice place. A bit far from everything if you can’t use the bikes. We had a baby and grandmother so bikes were not so useful and the distance made us use the taxis. That’s just a consideration. The place itself is very nice and the communication and coordination was fast and easy.

The Lily Pad was amazing! We had a wonderful check-in experience and even had a snorkeling recommendation that turned out to be amazing! The house was clean and tidy when we arrived and they accommodated our early check in as well. The bikes and A/C were a HUGE plus. One thing is that the mattresses on the beds were pretty firm, so if you prefer plush like me then I recommend sleeping on one of the many provided blankets so, easy fix! Mike and Liliana also set up a taxi to pick us up from the water taxi dock which was amazing! We would definitely stay here again!

I would highly recommend anyone to stay at the Lily Pad! Cozy home, very comfortable perfect for 2 couples. Our favorite part of our stay was the included bikes. It's the best way to explore the island in my opinion. We got to meet alot of the locals, try some delicious food and drinks, and even saw some creatures and critters. We also loved being able to come home and turn on the air conditioning to cool off after a long day in the sun. Another plus was the complimentary ride to/from the ferry, which was very much appreciated! Everything went so smoothly and we really enjoyed our short but sweet stay. Communication between Mike and Liliana was amazing, and we definately look forward to staying at their lovely home next time we're in Caye Caulker.

Absolutely fell in love with The Lily Pad! Mike and Liliana were very accommodating and maintained an open line of communication throughout. They arranged reliable transportation upon our arrival and departure to the water taxi, and provided us with any necessities during our stay. All living spaces were clean and accommodating to our needs, including everything they mentioned in the description. Kitchen is fully-equipped (even surprised us with a filtered water dispenser!), bathroom was a luxury, living room and bedrooms were very comfortable and inviting. The location provided a nice, peaceful escape from town. My group felt absolutely safe in the surrounding area. We especially found the bikes to be an excellent way to explore Caye Caulker. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable getaway home!

Hi there, We live and work in Canada, and we loved Caye Caulker so much that we built the Lily Pad there. Caye Caulker is a beautiful laid back island (their motto is "Go Slow") where you get around with a bicycle or golf cart and the people there are very welcoming. Our good friend Francis manages the Lily Pad Cottages and takes great care of our guests for us. He also has helpful tips and advice to offer to make your stay more enjoyable. English and Belizian Kriol are the main spoken languages on Caye Caulker. We take our holidays there and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. Mike and Liliana
