Bairds View Villa is very spacious, clean, well equipped (superb pool & tropical garden) and well managed. There is an amenable, local housekeeper to contact to help with any issues. The Villa is a 3 minute walk from a beautiful, unspoilt Caribbean beach on the platinum coast and is closely located to the coastal road on the west where plenty of local buses run daily, making it a great base for exploring. The Villa is located on a residential street and the neighbours are very friendly. The only negative we would say is that as the Villa is in a local area, it is a bit noisy if you stay here all day, dogs barking, cockerels crowing, radios playing and hammering etc. We actually thought it added to the charm but some guests may want more peace! As a base to explore the island Bairds View Villa is superb.

We were lucky enough to book this villa for 11 nights in January 2018 and we were certainly not disappointed.

The villa is fantastic and the pictures don’t do it justice. This is a fantastic villa and we would certainly recommend and rebook if we go back to Barbados.

The first thing that you notice is how clean it is. It’s fantastically well cleaned and the mid week cleaner even did the ironing that we had. So so clean.

The communication with Hanifa, the property manager and Yunus the owner was great and Hanifa met us with the keys and a quick tour. There was even a mobile phone for us to use if we needed. There were no issues with our stay and I found her to be really helpful.

The bedrooms are all large and air conditioned and are all of good spec. The bathrooms are all of good spec and modern and clean.

The kitchen has everything you need in it. A very well stocked kitchen. The best I have had in a villa.

The living area doesn’t have air conditioning. Although it has a ceiling fan I felt it needed something else as the room was so warm as there’s no wind to blow in from outside.

Outside is a treat. The dining area is great to have your meals at and the washing line is so handy. The pool area is fantastic. One of the best pools we have had. It’s cleaned twice a week and again is spotless. Loved the outside shower and toilet.

Plenty of towels and beach towels and liked the fact that toilet roll, soaps, washing liquid was all supplied.

It’s situated near Speightstown and Holetown, right in the middle of shops, restaurants, beaches and local eateries. A brilliant area.

Everybody we encountered were so friendly. Neighbours even asked us how our holiday was going. Such a friendly place. We felt so safe in and out of the villa.

I can’t stress enough how great this villa was. A real and rare treat.

Thankyou. Barry Thomson.

We've just returned from two weeks staying here. There were 8 of us in total - 2 sets of parents and 4 teenagers ranging from 14-18. From booking to arrival and throughout our stay, we've been delighted. Hanifa, the villa manager is extremely responsive, helpful and on hand for any questions or problems. We thank her for making our trip such a wonderful experience. We had Joel, their chef, cook for us on the first night which was well planned as after a long journey from the UK, we were tired.

The villa has all you need, nothing needs adding. Pool is wonderful and enough sun loungers for our party. We had a combination of some night in bbq'ing and some nights going out. When we are at the villa we had all the equipment we needed to create wonderful evening meals!

The location is perfect for exploring the island. Staying in one of the many big hotels would have felt sterile and we could have been anywhere in the world, but staying here we were surrounded by local people and felt as though we'd had more of an experience as to what Barbados is all about. Local towns of Hole Town and Speghtstown both in walking distance (50 mins approx) if like us you like to go out early in the mornings for some exercise, if not, only 5-10 mins in the car. Speightstown has Jordan's supermarket which is where we shopped. A new shop is being built in Hole Town. Local fish can be bought at the fish market just at the bottom of the road (and ask for some of their Bajan spice mix to put on the fish - it's the best), next to John Moore's rum shack which is great for sundowners with a local feel, as is Reed's Bay for some quiet beach time - both easily walkable. Santi's offer comfy sun beds, great menu, kids enjoy water sports and there's live music on Sundays and Wednesdays - worth a trip! Try the Lone Star and Tides for dinner and take a trip up to the northerly point to see the dramatic Atlantic Coast. Stop at The Crane for lunch at the Azure restaurant and if you want a catamaran day trip to swim with turtles, snorkel over ship wrecks etc , book Tiami. Oistens is a must on a Friday (we went twice).

We were glad of having a car but also used the reggae buses regularly.

We give the villa and Hanifa a big thumbs up! W d definitely go back again.

We have stayed in a few properties on this wonderful island but this is one of the best. The property is really well designed with loads of space inside and out. The pool area and outside dining area is wonderful for relaxing and for our twin grand children to splash around safely. The property is really well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay perfect. The location of the property is ideal with only a five minute walk to some of the best beaches on the island and to the local fish market and bars. We did have a car to help explore the island but the local buses are frequent and cheap to use. I would recommend eating at the Golden Anchor opposite the Folkstone Marine Park. The food is excellent and good value and there is generally something happening each evening. The Seacat Restaurant also at Folkstone is a great place to eat. For anyone not visiting Barbados before you must visit the North of the Island to view the spectacular Cliffs and then travel down the East Coast. Whilst Crane Beach is renowned try Foul Bay and Bottom Bay instead. For other trips the Tiami Catamaran trip and Harbour Lights are excellent. If there is any cricket on at the Oval you must spend an afternoon there, an experience not to be missed. Finally I must say thankyou to Hanifa who contacted us before our stay and arranged some shopping for us and also a delicious meal to be ready on our arrival. If you are looking for a spacious fully equipped property in a perfect location I would recommend Bairds View Villa.

Our stay was exceptional and the Villa was nothing short of our expectations. From booking to check out, Hanifa and Yunus were great to deal with, very helpful and the Villa has everything you need and more. Very private, clean and large Villa wth an amazing private pool. We were greeted this morning by a family of monkeys stealing mangos from the neighbors tree and eating them on our pool bridge. Sad that today is our last day before heading back to Calgary but had a fantastic two weeks in beautiful Barbados and this great Villa. We also rented a car from an agent who is friends with Hanifa and it was just as smooth and trouble free as renting this Villa. Delivery to the airport was an added touch. The Villa is located on the pristine West Coast and nothing is far. We drove the whole island multiple times as it is very small and easy to get around. Lots of shopping near by and fantastic beaches everywhere you look. We are a family of four with two young boys and would return in a heartbeat. You will not be disappointed if you decide to rent this Villa.

We had a great stay at this house in December/January 2016. We were two families of 4 and the house was ideal. The location is great with a very short walk to Reed's Bay which is a wonderful beach. We rented a car for a few days and used public transit the rest of the time. Holetown and Speightstown were close by and had all the amenities. Hanifa was a very gracious host and arranged for transportation to and from the airport for us. We would definitely stay at this property again in the future.

Hanifa is a gem! She communicated with us before and during our trip and was always prompt and helpful. Her daughter even baked us a holiday cake! The house was as advertised. It was in a residential area but at the end of the street was the main coastal road and Reeds Bay beach, which we really enjoyed. At first the street might seem off-putting, but you realize quickly that being ever so slightly away from the coast is worth the trade-off of having a great house and private pool. The air con in the bedrooms worked very well and everyone having their own private bathroom is amazing. The kitchen is very well equipped and the outdoor covered patio was where we always ate and hung out together. The pool was perfect and the outdoor shower, change room and toilet kept the house clean. For a family or larger group, I would highly recommend this house. It's great value for money and working with Hanifa was amazing. As we communicated to her, the only little thing we were missing was a dryer. Due to rain, it was difficult to get towels dry quickly, but overall the house was everything we hoped it would be.

Stayed at this villa. Made my vacation very comfortable. Very nice home. All the amenities that u would want. Looks just like the pics. Like a home away from home but just nicer. The host was very pleasant and accommodating and accessible. I would definitely recommend this place. Even better for a family or a group. Massive space and four bedrooms and pool and lovely garden.

Brand new home on the west coast was perfect for our stay. It is centrally located in a local residential area between Holetown and Speightstown, both smaller communities with great restaurants and shops for all budgets. Great beach just a five minute walk down the road to the coast. Although we visited other beaches, we preferred this one since it wasn't crowded. We would just pack our lunches, snacks and drinks and load up the cooler (provided by our wonderful hostess) and head down to the beach. If you like to snorkel, the west coast is the place to go. Hanifa was an excellent hostess who ensured we had everything we needed to make the most of our stay including arranging our pickup at the Airport upon arrival. She provided a local mobile phone and checked in with us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. All bedrooms are well appointed each with their own bathroom. The house is very large with more than enough room for our two families (four adults with our four young adult children). The kitchen has plenty of room for cooking if that is your fancy. There is a fish market just a five minute walk down the road where you can pick up a wide variety of daily caught fish including tuna, swordfish, mahi mahi, marlin and more. You can't get any fresher - yum! The local rum bar is right beside and is a great place to meet and mingle with the locals if you are so inclined. The house is relatively new so some cookware was not present however Hanifa was only too happy to purchase or provide upon our request (e.g. blender). The house is about a 35 minute drive from Bridgetown and the south coast. We rented a car which our hostess helped arrange and our three drivers (myself, husband and brother-in-law) were very comfortable driving all over to explore. We also took the public transportation which was very easy, really cheap ($1 US one way/pp) and regularly available for those not wanting to rent a car. All in all a great spot that we all thoroughly enjoyed and recommend highly. If you are looking for a house in the middle of the tourist action then keep looking however if you are someone looking for a great house and enjoy experiencing the real island life then this is perfect! Bajans are a friendly and welcoming people and our hostess and this neighbourhood are no exceptions.

This was our first time back to Barbados after 20 years. Our family planned the trip and found this house at a very reasonable price, with all the amenities you could dream for in a new place. The kitchen has everything you need--microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, dishes, pot holders, etc. The deck is wonderful and we spent much of our time out there. There is a delightful breeze which blows through the house making it very comfortable all the time. The well-landscaped house is settled back into a very safe neighborhood with a 5 minute walk to the beach. The house offered four amazing rooms, with mosquito netting, and each with its own attached bath. There was air conditioning in each room that could be turned on at night for comfort and then turned off during the day. The shared areas were a large family room with handcrafted furniture (authentic mahogany from the island) that was super comfy, a large dining room table and a full service kitchen. There were pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, and many more kitchen essentials. There is even a washing machine and dishwasher, which is very unusual on the island. Cleaning supplies, towels, beach bags, and even beach towels were provided in the upstairs closet. Hanifa, the home manager, came to check on us several time and called often to check on us. She even went grocery shopping for us before we arrived, which was helpful as traveling took up our entire day (5 am - 6 pm coming from North Carolina, Michigan and Ohio). The home felt like a dream house with a large pool -lit at night-, an outdoor dining set, lounge chairs, and sunbathing chairs. There was also an outdoor shower for washing off after the beach and a small yard area to play catch or whatever you wanted to do. It is also close to everything Holetown has to offer—grocery, restaurants, shops, etc. There wasn't anything we could have needed or wanted while staying here. . Hanifa is an exceptional hostess and made sure we had everything we needed including directions, information on activities, and taxi help. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this is where you want to be!! If we ever return, we will be sure to stay here again. We will never forget our trip to Barbados :) It was very hard to come home; we wish we were still there!! Thank you Hanifa for an amazing vacation we can't thank you enough!
