Beautiful Waterside Villa South Finger

We had a great holiday in this ideally located villa. It had all the basic facitlities required with a large deck area.

We had an enjoyable stay not for our first time. It has an excellent deck which has partial sunshine almost all day. On the hottest days there is always some shade. The villa has been modernised with most facilities. The beach shops and restaurants are a short walk away.

We have had several stays at this property and have found it enjoyable each time.
It is nicely furnished and equiped.
Although there is air conditioning we found that if there is a welcome breeze it flows coolly through the villa.
We would not hesitate to recommend it.

We arrived at 6.10pm after a delay to our flight fortunately the agent was just locking up his office and was kind enough to stay on and assist, he had left the keys with a security gatehouse but I am not sure we would have realised this had he left, didn't fancy sleeping on the beach.
The location and layout of the villa are great however it needs a complete refurbishment. Nothing matches in the kitchen, bits missing off the toaster.
The master bedroom is nice however I would not expect anyone to enjoy the second bedroom it was very hot looked cramped and the aircon was so noisy in there it would prevent sleep we only used it to store our cases so it didn't directly affect us.
Whilst not necessarily actually dirty the bathrooms and kitchen give of an appearance of being uncared for this also applies to the sheets and towels.
The outside area overlooking the water inlet was very nice to sit on but again had had repairs to the wood and no one had bothered to stain the new wood, the outside furniture reflected the rundown overall state.
Prior to our trip we asked the owner about the provision of beach towels, this elicited a rather terse reply that there were none, we discovered on arrival that they are available from the letting office knowing this would have saved some luggage space.

As your flight was delayed it would have been prudent to communicate this, either prior to boarding or on arrival in Antigua as the managing agents offices do close at 18.00 hours and we could have advised where the keys would be left for collection. We have now updated our arrival instructions for future guests to make them aware that if they arrive after office hours keys will be left at the security gate post.

The timber repairs were carried out on the deck just prior to your arrival and the new planks were stained after your arrival (Most decks are not treated) - there was not time to get them re-stained before you got there.

Bath towels and sheets are replaced on a regular basis - if you were not happy with the ones in the villa you could have asked the maids to replace them. Beach towels as you mentioned can be hired from our managing agents but they are not always available so we always advise to bring your own - just in case.

If the air con in the second bedroom seemed noisy to you it is likely it had been set to boost mode.

We have personally inspected the villa since your departure and found it to be to satisfactory standards, but we do thank you for taking the time to review our villa and all comments are taken on board.

We have rented a number of similar villas over the past few years, but this was by far the best. Excellent value for money, five stars all round. If the owner was to upgrade the TV and hi-fi it would be even more perfect. We `will be back. All best, John and Diane Blake.

Extended deck is wonderful with all day sunshine and really comfy sunbeds, with lovely view down the channel.
Very easy 5 minute walk to beautiful beach with good beach bar. Easy 10 minute walk to all other resturants, shops and large supermarket.
Would certainly recommend.
