"La grange" is a traditionally converted farmhouse barn on 5.5 acres of land.

It sleeps 7 possible 8 and 1 baby.

There is a master bedroom that is air conditioned,

one twin bedroom with two large single beds

and a mezzanine bedroom with one single bed and one double.

A portable cot is also available & there is also a sofa bed in the living room.

"La grange" is central heated & also has a large log burning fire for the colder months.

It is fully equipped, with everything usually found at home, including UK free to air satellite TV.

Linen and towels are included.

There is a covered terrace for dining and lounging outside

with a large barbecue plus a 5 meter diameter round above ground swimming pool.

All situated on the grounds of a 1 acre private fishing lake containing carp up to 40lb. etc.

You can fish all day and night if you want at no extra cost.

The local Area is ideal for walking and cycling, as it is very rural,

but it is also within easy reach of all amenities. 

Your own transport is advised.

Dax is Famed for its natural hot water springs of 62.4 degrees centigrade

and healing mud from the River Adour.

The Roman baths are a focal point for Dax and There are several

hot water outlets around the town,

where you can take a mud bath,

or just bathe in the waters.

In August Dax holds its annual fete,

two weeks of celebrations ending in a magnificent firework display.

Biarritz is a lovely town with lots of shops for the girls ,

a beautiful rocky coastline with sandy beaches and is todays Europes surf capital

and is only a 30 minutes drive. Biarritz also has an international airport.

Bayonne Famous for its "fête" - 5 days of non-stop festivities

is also known for its bull fighting in August, and its famous ham.

(Danish bacon is still the best!) 30 minutes drive

St Jean de Luz, the old "Pirates town"

with a beautiful harbour

and in the place Louis XIV are the ever popular artists,

who display their paintings along the street.

You can even get your portrait painted "while you wait".

In the harbour you can take a boat to see the sights.

It has a wonderful sandy beach in a natural bay. 40 minutes drive.

Salies de bearn also a beautiful spar town renowned for its natural salt water

is only a 20 minute drive with its golf course and local fetes

Pau is a 45 mins. drive away with its international airport and is a wonderful town to go for a day ,

it is full of shops , restaurants and bars .

It also has a little English shop where you could get your English bangers from.

The Pyreenees are about 50 mins drive to the ski slopes for winter or hiking in the summer ,

there are lots of sites to see up there , definitely worth a trip

The Dune du pyla is a 2 hrs drive and is the largest sand dune in Europe .

There are steps to get to the top but it is still a hard walk . Also a definite place to go .

Carcassonne is a 2.30 hrs drive a medieval town with very nice restaurants

and lots of sites to see including the dungeons  

 

The second twin bedroom sleeps 3, it has 1 double bed and 1 single bed.

The country house comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 twin and 2 cots. The property also has 1 single sofa bed located in the Living room. This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The country house has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the country house cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The country house has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 7 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this country house.

The country house is in a very quiet area. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The country house is right beside fishing, walking, cycling.

Close to the country house you will find swimming, flying, horse riding, golf, tennis, a sports center, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the country house you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, climbing, mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding, a zoo, a themepark.
