We had a lovely time at El Medano. The walled garden sheltered us from most of the wind and held the sun. The pool was great, and everyone went in every day - it was so comfortable for all of us to be able to hop in and out without bothering with costumes.
The rooms were well furnished and, to us, spacious. It felt like a home and not a showhouse. We felt secure that none of the 3 children could escape.
It was within walking distance of a mini market and then on to the town.

The beautiful house would merit better maintenance. The cupboards, doors etc. where not cleaned for a long time. Tiles are loose in the bath room, entrance stairs broken - things that would be easy and cheap to fix. Even though a parasol was in the description, during the whole week the owner could not care less to replace it after our friendly phone call.
The bright side is the good outlay of the spacious house in a nice calm neighbourhood, beautiful beaches 5 minutes by car. And the knowledge that you can get a clean house nearby for less money.

Quiet area and complete privacy. The house provided everything we needed.

We had a wonderful time at the vila - it is excellent for families with young children - so safe. The villa had eveything we could have wanted - it was ver clean and the pool was excellent - great location - close to the sea and close to a charming little twon with restaurants and bars. A wonderful time was had by all the extended family.

My family and friends have just come back from El Medano and we absolutely loved it. This was the first time I have independently booked a villa, flights etc... and I found it really easy.
A party of 6 of us went initially. When we got there we were bowled over by the size of it, good location and room to move around. It was like taking your home with you and getting a pool on the side. The kitchen has everything you need, bathroom towels and beach towels are provided also. Washer, dryer and outside hanging space as well, so no need to take lots of dirty clothes home.
The pool and outside seating area was great, sound system outside to listen to tunes all day while sunbathing.
We used the barbecue twice and cooked up a storm. Tv/dvd in kids room as well as in the front room to keep children happy.
We hired a car from the airport for ease of transportation but a taxi was only 15 euros. El Medano was about 5 mins in car, 20 walking. On the way there is a small supermarket attached to a large hotel, so very convenient for quick trips out.
El Medano was very Spanish (which we loved), only one English bar and no lucky lucky men trying to sell you tat! A selec tion of bars and restaurants to choose from, play areas for the kids, weekend markets and shows in the square. Not many shops though but about 3 supermarkets.
Things to take into consideration!
It can get very windy so there can be a lot of black sand flying about. Parking in El Medano centre was difficult so best to park on the outskirts unless your lucky. Its very near to the airport so lots of planes flying past, personally I liked watching them.
Dont come expecting a brand new shiny villa or you will be disappointed. Its very rustic and lived in, like most peoples homes.
Once again we had a fantastic time and was very sad to leave, I would definitely recommend this villa. 10 out of 10

We have recently returned from a 9 day stay in Villa Calle Violeta . The villa was extremely spacious with a very comfortable feel about it. In our 7 years of renting villas this was, without doubt, the best equipped kitchen we have come across, it was spotlessly clean and the equipment was of a very high standard. There were plenty of towels in the bathrooms, of good quality too, which is not always the case and a pleasant surprise was four beach towels as well, thank you. We spent most of our time in the garden and patio area which is extremely spacious and undoubtedly the highlight of the property especially with its large BBQ area. El Medano is near the airport so you should expect some aircraft noise, this did not detract from our holiday at all. We will certainly return.

We have just returned from having spent a week in the villa. The villa was a fantastic size with plenty of room for everybody. The outside space was large and quiet with ample space for relaxing and eating. Kitchen is fully equiped with everything you need. Two bathrooms with plenty of towels for inside and out. Liked having the washing machine and clothes line to get laundry done. I would recommend this villa to a friend and would visit it again myself.

Following the recent review for this property and having stayed in the villa quite a few times, I felt the need to write a review. The villa is in a excellent location and well worth a visit. I have never found this property to be dirty, and as I know the owner I can assure anyone viewing this property it is cleaned both before and after every customer. Regarding the comments about the owner not paying a visit, I know he feels that anyone booking this type of self catering holiday does so as they want privacy and independant, so for this reason he leaves an emergency contact number and is always more than willing to sort any problems that may arise. If you view this property and are considering renting it please do not be put off by the previous comments, contact the owner and have a chat Im sure he can put your mind at rest.

There was an excellent outside space here and lots of potential for quality holiday accommodation. However during our 2 week stay we saw no one from the management company / owner, the villa was not visited or cleaned and we found it in a somewhat grubby state.
The main bedroom requires new clean pillows and mattress, and the property needs a good spring clean.
El Medano is a nice spot and this is a good location to access the town and the rest of the island. However the cleanliness of the property, poor service while we were there and somewhat abrupt communication from the owner prior to our arrival mean that we would not recommend this place to others.

The house is very nice, spaciuos and with all the comforts. The only remark is that the kitchen and the bathrooms were not perfetcly clean at the arrival. Anyway the rapport price/quality is very good. As a suggestion I would recommand the owner maybe to take a little bit more care of the house, because its really a very nice property.

This is an excellent Villa in a lovely location. It is ideal for a relaxing get away from it all break, well maintained and provides wonderful value for money for a family with 3 bedrooms. Good cooking facilities and large pool and BBQ / garden area. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a get away break to Tenerife.

Lovely villa with lots of space. Pool and gardens are brilliant. We really enjoyed the magnificent BBQ and made full use of it!
UK TV was a nice bonus as was the free WiFi which meant we didnt run up a huge roaming bill on my phone!
El Médano is also a brilliant place, relaxed and with some lovely restaurants and traditional food all very reasonably priced.
Would recommend this to anyone.
