We visited Gumusluk Villa in early June 2012 when the weather was fantastic but not too hot. The villa is sited on the Opus Village complex which is about an hours drive from Bodrum Airport. The complex lies about half a mile off the main road and is built on the side of a horseshoe shaped valley overlooking the sea. All the villas have been designed so that none of them overlook each other and in turn are not overlooked. The whole complex is heavily planted with Bougainvilleas and other colourful shrubs which provide a fantastic backdro p to this idyllic setting. You reach the villa from the access roadway up well maintained steps which lead onto the flat garden area where a large spotless swimming pool is sited. The whole garden is well maintained and is full of sub-tropical flowers and bushes which were a picture in June. There is a large grassed area to the side of the villa with some shade, which is where we spent most of our time. For alfresco dining there is a well maintained patio area, complete with wooden patio set, overlooking the pool this leads directly from the lounge and has wonderful views of the sea.
The inside of the villa is stunning, well designed, well maintained and well featured. It has a large fridge/freezer, four burner gas hob plus oven, all spotless it even has a dishwasher and microwave. In the same large air conditioned area is a full dining suite and two large comfortable settees. Nothing was worn out or shabby and there was everything we needed for our stay cutlery, crockery etc. and everything worked!
There is a downstairs double bedroom with air conditioning and full sized bathroom, with shower next door. There is also a large under-stairs cupboard containing an automatic washing machine. Leading up from the entrance hall are steps to the first floor where the other two bedrooms and a large bathroom with Jacuzzi bath are located. The larger of the bedrooms is the master bedroom which has patio doors leading onto a large balcony which overlooks the sea. All bedrooms are well decorated and have ample wardrobe space and fully functional modern air conditioning units.
The owners provide lots of useful information on restaurants and local services. They were also very helpful in providing details of the airport taxi service which I would highly recommend if you are not driving from the airport. They “meet & greet” at the airport and are punctual on pick-up for the return journey.
There is a good supermarket about two miles away and the easiest way to get there is to walk to the main road and take the “Dolmus” (small cheap local bus) which picks-up just across the road. When returning with heavy shopping take a taxi from outside the supermarket back to the villa door. The main restaurant area closest to the villa is 25 – 30 minutes walk down a “Donkey Track” (torch needed at night) and there are dozens of restaurants to choose from. There are also a few shops selling some basic foodstuff, milk, bread, vegetables etc and also typical tourist’s items. These shops are open until late at night and as there is also a taxi rank, we topped up on our groceries after our evening meal and took a taxi back to the villa (circa 12 TL). Many of the restaurants have umbrellas and sun beds on the small shingle beach and allow people to use them if they buy a drink or food in return.
In conclusion, the villa is fantastic. The owners have done everything possible to provide the main ingredients to a memorable holiday and this is something the visitors book bears out so many positive comments! If you book this villa you won’t be disappointed with it and like us, return again and again.
Stunning villa in beautiful location overlooking the sea.

Very well equiped and comfortable, distance to Gumusluk fishing village in the height of summer was a bit of a strenuous walk, we had a car for 4 days in our 2 week stay, if we went again would have a car for longer.
The recomended company, proper car, for car hire and transfers was first class.
The other 2 swimming pools on site are very good and not used very much.
Site staff are all very friendly and sorted out any problems very promtly.

Exceeded all expectations .
Could not fault the property, contents, position or staff at the facility. The car rental firm recommended by the owners was also very efficient.
Would definitely recommend to others, although as the info. states not suitable for the infirm.

The property was very much as described and exceeded our expectations with the range of extras that were both supplied by the owners and had been left by previous guests. eg. salt, pepper, toilet paper, soap, washing powder, etc.
On site staff were very helpful and location is good.
A very enjoyable place to relax

The villa is part of a development of holiday villas and looks out on other villa developments as well as the sea. However, Opus Village, where this villa is, is the most sensitive development on the entire coast. The villas nestle into a fold in the hillside and each one seems to perch on its own ledge of rock just as the ancient Turkish villages do. Its a contrast with the regimented rows of villas everywhere else.
The villa has everything you could desire, the pool is small but fine, the staff who look after the place are friendly and helpful, the garden is immaculate (each villa has its own garden). Once you are settled on a lounger by the pool you are unaware of anything else around (although we were unlucky that a digger was excavating 300 yards away while we were there).
Finally, the fish restaurants in Gumusluk village are extraordinarily good and the experience of eating by the waterside watching the sunset was worth the trip for that alone!

Everything was as expected. The rooms are well furnished and spacious. The power of the showers knock you out - very good and very hot. The air conditioning is extremely efficient and certainly needed in June.
The kitchen is compact but more than adequate for holiday catering.
The pool is just so convenient that you could spend your whole holiday in the villa.
The gardens are very well maintained and colourful.
In summary no complaints.
The site is well maintained and the communal pools are well worth using if you are an Olympic hopeful.
The service staff are low profile but there when required.
The location is convenient in terms of the airport, Bodrum and the local fishing village with its restaurants.
We are in the process of booking for next year after being back one week.

To wake up in a clean comfortable bedroom and have the warm breezes wafting through an insect proof screen with the azure sea beyond....
To find a fully equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches such as an AA Gill type restaurant guide and massive fridge and freezer...
To have the option of dipping in ones own pool or choosing from two more....
To appreciate a carefully manicured lawn with colourful borders a step away from the front door....
....all this and more was ours under a vivid blue sky for a blissful week. Appreciatively, Marcus and Sue

A beautifully situated property in a superb developement which sits sensitively and unobstrusively in the hills above a delightful, peaceful fishing village. The villa is comfortable, spacious, cool and well-equipped ,commanding lovely views over the sea. The pool and gardens are immaculately maintained by very friendly and helpful staff. I would have no hesitation in renting the villa again and would recommend it unreservedly to friends.

We were very impressed by the villa and its location. Air conditioned rooms, magnificant views, al fresco dining and private swimming pool all added to the ambience. Relatively easy access(via donkey track) to the beautiful fishing village of Gumusluk with its many water side restaurants, beaches, fascinating market and friendly people added to the enjoyment of our holiday. Within a short drive to Bodrum and possible trips to Ephesus, several Greek islands and Pamukkale, this is a desirable spot for the perfect holiday.

The development has taken advantage of natural terracing and the spectacular view. I especially liked the sunsets! The villa is beautifully situated within the development. Inside it has a welcoming balance of comfort and luxury. Accommodation for six means just that, with three well-appointed bedrooms; no ‘making do’ for the third couple. The mosquito nets at the windows and effective air-conditioning units all add to the comfort. Then outside in the garden there’s the sun you would expect, but also dappled sunlight and shade at all times of the day. But also, to top it all, there’s the pool. It’s a real swimming pool, clean blue and with underwater lighting. This really was luxury.

Enjoyed walking to village- very pretty bay with delightful restaurants. Villa spacious, very clean, nicely furnished and very well-equipped. Own pool made a real difference and lovely patio setting for evening meals. Sunsets from amphitheatre were spectular on some evenings, especially when we took a bottle of wine with us!!
